Gluten-Free Wednesdays

Gluten_Free_Wednesdays

Gluten-Free Wednesdays (GFW) is a weekly carnival focused on gluten-free food. This carnival is designed to give the reader lots of great gluten-free eating ideas—recipes, info on ingredients, menu plans, restaurant reviews, gluten-free product reviews, and more. It’s also intended to give fellow bloggers a forum to share their posts on all three blogs each Wednesday simply by linking up to one of our blogs.

If you’re a reader, please check out all the posts each week. If you’re also a blogger, we would love for you to participate in this carnival, and participation is easy. Late every Tuesday night (some time after 10:00 pm EST) I will put up a new “Gluten-Free Wednesday” post. You will be able to add your link until midnight on Thursday. Please read over these guidelines, and you’ll know what to do.

Carnival Guidelines

Entries that do not follow these guidelines will be deleted.

1. All links should provide a gluten-free eating idea or information about the gluten-free diet.  You don’t have to have a gluten-free blog.  Many meal ideas are naturally gluten free. (Those happen to be my personal favorites and the focus of my gfe approach.)

2. You do not have to link to a recipe, but those posts have consistently proven to be the most popular entries. Recipes should be gluten free or specifically state gluten-free options (remember that many checking out the carnival are gluten-free “newbies,” so please don’t assume that folks will know to replace gluten-full ingredients if your recipe includes those). Non-recipe posts should still be food related, not just articles about healthy living.

3. Please provide a text link to my site somewhere in your post (e.g., “recipe linked to Gluten-Free Wednesdays” with the specific gfe GFW URL).  This link back helps others to find the carnival and demonstrates simple blog etiquette. Please do not link to an image only or to a page/post with a list of carnivals. (Again, you only need to link to one of our hosts’ GFW posts.)

4. When you add your carnival link, please enter the permalink to your post, not a link to your homepage or the results of a search on your site. This action keeps people from having to search for the post if they follow the link at a later time. It also allows you to use an older post. You can usually get the permalink by clicking on the blog post title and then copying it from the address bar.

5.  Please do not link to a post where you are hosting your own blog carnival.

6.  Please do not host your own Gluten-Free Wednesdays carnival.

7. If you would like to use the badge at the top of this post (or the smaller ones at the bottom of this post), please save the image to your computer and upload it to your blog.

8. This carnival was founded by my dear friend Linda of The Gluten-Free Homemaker, and is co-hosted with another good friend of ours, Lynn of Lynn’s Kitchen Adventures. Remember … you can enter your link at any of our three sites and it will show up in all three places. You only need to link back to one site.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or suggestions for our GFW event.
