FYI:  Celiacs in the House blog is no longer in operation. Have you been following Wendy’s (Celiacs in the House) In My Gluten-Free Kitchen series? This series is a year-long event that features at least one kitchen a week. All of us who have been following along have LOVED peeking into the kitchens of our favorite gluten-free folks. Plus, this series has introduced us to some gluten-free bloggers, authors, or other individuals active in the gluten-free community who are “new” to us. It’s been such a treat to see how our gluten-free friends equip, decorate, and manage their kitchens! And there have been tips of every kind shared; I learn something new every single week. Today, Wendy is featuring my kitchen in her series! I’ve shared a few photos here, but you can check out all my photos, the tools that I find most helpful, where I find inspiration in the kitchen, and more over at Wendy’s. You can check out Wendy’s line-up for the entire year and follow the links to see all the kitchens shared to date.

Shirley – great post over at Wendy’s. Love your open kitchen too – although I am jealous of your pantry – its way bigger than mine! 🙂

Hi Ina–Thanks so much, dear … for leaving a sweet comment here and over at Wendy’s blog! I’m sorry to make you jealous, but I do love the pantry. 😉

Hi Caralyn–Welcome to gfe! Thanks so much! When possible, I do like a fern hanging by the skylight. 🙂 I am nuts about ferns and inside most of my house, plants do not do well because of the lack of light (we live in the woods).

I love seeing your kitchen, and very jealous of the ferns. They always die in Utah from the dry air.

Hi Kalyn–Thank you! I’d love to see your kitchen one day (hint, hint)! 😉 Wow, I had no idea that Utah was not a good spot for ferns. I am so sorry as I really love them—inside and outside. 🙂

Hi Shirley – I tried to comment on Wendy’s site but couldn’t for some reason. So here I am 🙂 I loved reading about, and seeing, your kitchen. It’s fabulous. I love your window view. And I loved imagining you walking in there and doing your GFE thing. LOVED the Vitamix shot. xo

Hi Maggie–Wendy just told me that she’s been having some spam issues so she closed comments on that post. Yucky spam! 🙁 Thank you so much, dear! Not a fancy kitchen at all, but I love it! I just got home from a week away, but have already been in my kitchen cooking some food for Son when he popped in. 😉 Awww, my wonderful red Vitamix that you girls so generously gave me! Notice how I’m protecting the housing from dust and errant food particles with that inverted plastic container? Protect the Vitamix!! 🙂

      xoxo,
      Shirley
