Today, May 29, is actually National Biscuit Day. Buttermilk Biscuit Day happened not that long ago—on May 14. There doesn’t seem to be a day that’s designated for gravy alone but National Biscuits and Gravy Day doesn’t fall until December 14. None of us want to wait that long to celebrate biscuits and gravy!

Note that some of my gluten-free vegetarian friends also make their own versions of these recipes, either subbing in a product like Beyond Meat gluten-free sausage products or simply going for the beloved white gravy without the addition of a protein.
