Today I’m re-sharing the Top 30 Gluten-Free Pizza Crust recipes! Because today is National Pizza Day and I’ve added several more recipes to this collection. Yay on both!
I’m a pizza lover; are you? If you are, you might agree that every day, any day is Pizza Day, right?
And it follows that any time is suitable for a pizza party. I say that because this collection of recipes is the first in my Gluten-Free Pizza Party series.
I think that most of you will agree that “really good gluten-free pizza,” like really good gluten-free bread, is one of those foods that we all want. However, finding a recipe that works for us and our families is often difficult at best.
So I decided that I would gather the best gluten-free pizza crust recipes that I could find from all my blogger friends into a single post for you, and here it is! A gluten-free pizza party!
And this is only Part 1! You’ll also want to check out Part 2, 30+ Gluten-Free Pizza Recipes That Are a Little Bit Different.

~ Amazing Gluten-Free Pizza Crust from Let Them Eat Gluten-Free Cake ~ gluten free, egg free, with dairy-free options
Reader reviews: “Hands down, this is the best gluten-free pizza crust I’ve ever had! Yes, it’s more work than store bought or restaurant pizza, but not much- it just involves some pre-planning.” and “Omg!! This is the best pizza recipe ever! I have no desire to cheat with non-GF pizza and suffer the consequences. This tastes better than any pizza I’ve ever had… and I’ve had a lot!!” and “I can’t even handle how fantastic this is! ~ Brazilian Cheese Pizza Crust from Gluten-Free Gobsmacked ~ gluten free grain free, vegetarian, primal, yeast free
The original recipe that Kate shared is for Brazilian Cheese Rolls, but her directions for the pizza crust variation are at the bottom of her post.
I’m going to personally vouch for this recipe. I’ve made it many times as pizza crust and it’s really wonderful! I mean it has a chewy, cheesy crust; what could be better?
While Kate uses less cheese when she’s using her recipe for pizza crust, I actually use the exact same recipe as she does for her Brazilian Cheese Rolls—so the same amount of cheese–just patting the dough out into a 12-inch pizza crust. The photo below is one I took when I made Kate’s recipe.
~ Chewy Pizza Crust from Faithfully Gluten Free ~ gluten free, vegetarian, with dairy-free option (Jeanine is the author of the award-winning resource book/cookbook, The Everything Guide to Living Gluten Free.)
Reader review: “Wow! I made this today for my annual pizza and start of the NASCAR season tradition and it did not let me down. It was a great crust that definitely gave me the chewiness of my old deep dish favorite.” and
“What was so beautiful about this crust is that it didn’t have any problems with sogginess, floppiness, or falling apart like so many gluten free pizza crusts I’ve tried usually do, especially with as much tomato sauce as I like! This one is truly a keeper!” and
“Thank you sooo much for bringing back thick crust pizza for me!”
~ Crisp Gluten-Free Pizza Crust from Faithfully Gluten Free ~ gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian
Reader reviews: “We tried this recipe last week and I fell IN LOVE! My husband and boys loved it too!
I like it so much I made it again a few days ago, just as cheesy bread to have with GF Spaghetti. And….then tonight I used it to make pitas for chicken gyro’s. I just spread it in little 4″ circles instead of the large one. It worked beautifully!
I may never eat another G-Free bread again. Thank you for sharing!!” and
“All of my family loved it, and my pickiest eater told me it was the best pizza I have ever made! That is saying a lot since I was an avid pizza maker before eliminating gluten from our diets.”
~ Foolproof Gluten-Free Pizza Crust from Allergy Free Alaska ~ gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free, vegetarian

Even my 17-year-old son who does not have dietary issues preferred this pizza crust over the wheat flour ones I normally make. It’s a keeper!” and “Honestly, this is the BEST gluten-free recipe I have tried to date. I have been gluten free for 2 years now and this is the first thing I have made that made me feel like I was eating a normal wheat-based pizza. I raised my pizza and gently ripped off my parchment paper when it was finished and left it in the oven for an extra 5 minutes to give it a slight crunch. Was perfect. Truly, bless you for this recipe.” and “Came out perfectly. Family pizza night=dream come true!”

Heather @Gluten-Free Cat says
Shirley, what a delicious round up of pizzas! My mouth is watering right now!!! I haven’t made a homemade pizza since moving to the City. There are so many wonderful gf pizza options here. But this post has made me pick out a few to try! Wonderful post!
Shirley says
Heather–Thanks, dear! I love that you can easily and safely eat gluten-free pizza out in NYC. That is such a delight I think! I’ve not had good experiences eating “gf” pizza out to date, but I’m still hopeful that one day I’ll find some safe places to eat gf pizza. But making different gf pizzas at home is a lot of fun, too. 🙂
Shirley
Amanda says
I still love the cheese crust recipe very much but these will be fun to taste test! 🙂
Shirley says
Hi Amanda–I really appreciate you endorsing my Flourless, Doughless Pizza again! 🙂 There are so many other great options here though, especially for folks who are more than gluten free. 😉
Shirley
Angela Sommers says
Fantastic! Amazing! I LOVE pizza, and this is really wonderful, thanks! However, to be truthful, I am prejudiced towards your GFE recipes, and as you know, my family can almost every time now spot when a recipe is yours (without cheating) 🙂 🙂 🙂
Shirley says
Hi Angela–This Gluten-Free Pizza Party was inspired by my own LOVE of pizza! 😉 I’m so happy that folks are excited about the series and all these crusts. 🙂 And, of course, super thanks to you and yours for all the gfe recipe love!!
xo,
Shirley

Melissa says
I’m definitely a gluten-free pizza lover! This roundup of GF pizza crusts looks amazing. I’m in need a few homemade crust recipes. Thanks for putting them together for me. Much appreciated! =)
Shirley says
I know you love gluten-free pizzas, Melissa! I’m planning to share some of your recipes in Part 3 of this series. 🙂 But I do hope you find one or two great homemade crusts to use as a platform for all your terrific combos! 😉
Shirley
Melissa says
I love the idea that you focused on just the GF crusts. I need to start making my own, although I’m pretty happy with a couple of the locally owned bakery crusts I’ve discovered. Pizza has been my “go to” meal when it’s been a super busy day, so making my own crust has fallen by the wayside. This inspires me to give some of these recipes a try. As always, thanks for all the hard work you put into creating these posts!
Shirley says
I see no problem at all in using ready-made crust if you have a great source! You folks are CO are advanced in that area. 🙂 Nothing like that around here. Nothing. 🙁 There are some frozen options in town, but I prefer making my own. Homemade pizza is a special treat for us. When hubby eats out if I have other commitments, he often enjoys a gluten pizza because we don’t have pizza often at all at home and I’m fine with that. 😉
Cassidy @ Cassidy's Craveable Creations says
Great roundup, I have some new recipes to try 🙂
Shirley says
Yay, Cassidy! 🙂 It seems you have a few great recipes yourself, dear. 😉 Hope to include them in later parts of this series!
Shirley
Cassidy @ Cassidy's Craveable Creations says
While I appreciate it when you share my recipes, I know you can’t always share every recipe and I’m happy just to discover new ones! I totally understand and I don’t expect my recipes to always be included in your roundups 🙂
Thanks for all your hard work!
XO,
Cassidy
Shirley says
Thanks on all, Cassidy! Much appreciated! 🙂

Shirley
Ricki says
I now officially have all the pizza recipes I will ever need for the rest of my life!! I Luurve pizza! This is so great, Shirley. And thank you for including three of my recipes! I really do love that grain-free crust, so much. Now can’t wait to try some of these others, too. Pizza Party–yay!! 😀 xo

Megan–That would certainly be a dream meal! Awesome gluten-free pizza with even more awesome gluten-free friends! 🙂 Thanks for creating a foolproof pizza recipe that I could share with others. 😉
xoxo,

Molly (Sprue Story) says
I’ve bookmarked several of these to try, but I think my favorite is the face pizza! Why don’t I make food with faces more often? (Maybe because I have no children and it would be weird…)
I’m also a huge fan of socca-crusted pizza; we make that quite often. Obviously not for those who dislike “beaniness” or who are following a strict paleo diet (since it’s made almost entirely of chickpea flour), but for the rest of us, it’s a delicious crispy crust, and high fiber/protein too!
Shirley says
Molly–I love that your favorite is the face pizza! I say embrace that. We give up fun, silly stuff WAY too early. It would not be weird for you to make face pizzas, and you can use any crust to make them. 😉 I think they’re a terrific excuse to use more colorful veggies and that’s ALWAYS a good thing. 🙂
Yes, there are folks who love the socca pizza. Admittedly, I’m not always one of them. The toppings can make or break socca pizzas for me. But you’ll be happy to know that I do plan to include some socca pizza recipes in later parts of this series!
Shirley
Linda says
I looked through this great post the other day, and I guess I forgot to leave a comment. What a great round up. People (myself included) love pizza, and all of these look great. Thanks, of course, for including my recipes.
Shirley says
Linda–Your comments are welcome any time, of course, but I’ve done the “quick read and forget to leave a comment” drill many times. 😉 Thanks for taking time to come back by and actually leave one. 🙂 So happy to have your recipes as part of this roundup, Linda. We all need our pizza!
Shirley
Lexi @ Lexi's Clean Kitchen says
This is a fabulous round-up!
Shirley says
Hi Lexi–Welcome to gfe! 🙂 It’s great to meet you, and thank you!
Shirley
Maggie says
Yum! It’s a pizza party 🙂 I’ve tried Ricki’s grain-free crust with beans and loved it. I must try her grain-free bean free one too! Now I’m hungry for pizza 🙂
Shirley says
Hey Maggie–Yes, yum! I’m not surprised that you loved Ricki’s pizza crust and I’m sure her other recipe will be a hit with you and your family, too. I still want to try them both. 😉 Maybe we should plan on eating more pizza for this year?!
Shirley
Denise says

Thanks again!!

Hey Amber–It seems that pizza is the favorite of all of us … well, at least those of us who are commenting anyway. 😉 Your pizza crust had to be included, dear; it looks and sounds really terrific! 🙂 I’m looking forward to the rest of this series.
xo,
Shirley
Laurie says
Thanks for all these great ideas
Heather @ Life, Gluten Free says
All those pizzas look yummy. We have “Pizza thursday” and have been using a mix by Namaste because it is in a nut-free facility. I haven’t used mixes in years but it’s a quick easy thing to do sometimes! I’ll have to try some of these recipes. The allergen-free pizza crust from the tasty alternative looks like it fits our dietary needs the best.
Shirley says
Yay! I’m so glad that you found a crust that will work for you here. 🙂 Thanks for the sharing the info on Namaste’s mix, too!
Shirley
Colette says
Could you please let me know if you can freeze the pizza dough for later use. Thanks.
Colette
Shirley says
Hi Colette–Welcome to gfe! 🙂 You will have to click through for each pizza that you’re interested in and ask the blogger who created the recipe if it’s freezable. I can tell you that my Flourless Doughless Pizza is freezable.
