UPDATE: All giveaways are now closed. Many, many congratulations to the dozens of winners in our Home for the Holidays … Gluten-Free Style event! Thanks to all who participated—readers, sponsors, and bloggers—as you made this the wondrous event that it was!

With Thanksgiving behind those of us who celebrate, our thoughts immediately turn to “the holidays.” So I’m beyond excited to announce that I am hosting Home for the Holidays … Gluten-Free Style, a daily blogging event taking place from Monday, November 28 through Friday, December 23. This event will be a delightful “over-the-top” event with 25 bloggers participating in all, and giveaways of close to 100 items. Our hope is to provide comfort, joy, excitement, and fun for all of you during this holiday season! Let me share the details …

Every day a different blogger will share a gluten-free recipe that means both home and the holidays to them.  Everyone has those recipes, right? Old family favorites; recipes that have evolved as folks learned to eat differently/better; festive holiday cocktails; and more.  For me, there are many that fit those categories and signify home and holidays … my sister’s Crab Casserole, my mom’s Deviled Eggs, and my Crustless Coconut Pie. Like these recipes I’ve mentioned, the recipes shared in the event may be naturally gluten free or converted/re-created to be gluten free. Many recipes will also be dairy free, grain free, refined sugar free, etc. as well. They will be full of comfort, joy, and everything else that represent Home for the Holidays … Gluten-Free Style. Maybe you’ll find recipes that you’ve been missing since going gluten free. Maybe you’ll find recipes with flavor combos that you never thought of before, but that you must make. Immediately. Perhaps just in time for your holiday open house or that special tea you’re having with your girlfriends. Maybe you’ll learn a new technique that will allow you to finally successfully re-create an old family favorite; wouldn’t that be a great holiday gift? There are many terrific possibilities.

And speaking of gifts, as I indicated earlier, along with the recipes all of us will be sharing, we will also be giving away prizes! Lots of them. Fantastic prizes. At least three prizes will be given away daily, plus there will be three prizes for the final giveaway— a grand prize, plus a second and third prize. These are all prizes that we think you’ll find of great value. There are  books … including cookbooks, resource books; iPhone apps; gluten-free magazine subscriptions; tools to help you know if a product is safe you to eat; and much more. These prizes are sponsored by your favorite authors/bloggers, publishers, and kitchen equipment/food companies. Many, many thanks go out to them for their generosity! You’ll have to visit each blogger daily to enter the giveaways and while I won’t divulge the specific daily giveaways associated with each blog (there has to be some anticipatory suspense, right?), I’ll tell you that multiple copies of many items will be given away. So if a copy of that new cookbook you’ve been eyeing is given away on day one, don’t despair as another copy or two might be given away on say day 21. The daily giveaways will be announced each day and there will be a quick turnaround (48 hours or less) on entering, so please follow along closely. Best of all, every daily entry makes you eligible for the final giveaway, so the more blogs you visit and more entries you offer, the more your odds of winning the grand prize, second prize, or third prize will increase. Winners of the daily giveaways will be announced weekly here on gfe, with the final announcement sharing the final week’s winners as well as the grand prize, second place, and third place winners.

Here’s a complete listing of all the excellent bloggers participating followed by the list of prizes being given away, including the final prizes.

Hi Lexie–Crazy and good are not always paired together, so I love “crazy good’! 😉 Thanks to so many folks for making this happen … our participating bloggers (including you!), our sponsors, our blogger friends who are providing support even if not participating in any way, and, of course, our readers who are joining in and supporting the event in many, many ways daily. 🙂

      xo,

When I first entered the gluten free world in 1995, there were just a handful of pioneers to guide newcomers. You bloggers, creative entrepreneurs and researchers make being gluten free exciting and less like a frontier to be conquered. Thank you so much for your generosity and creative spirits. Silvana I was disappointed not to have met you when you were at the NJ Expo in September. Love your postings. Looking forward to your new book and I Love Lousia Shafia’s Persian cookbook and Home For the Holidays is great… Happy New year to you.
